Depending on organisational standards, you can associate benefits directly to a goal and subsequently track the benefits realisation at this level.


Important: Benefits can be associated with delivery initiatives such as portfolios, programs and projects that deliver the goal results to the organisation. Please refer to the Associate benefits with goals and delivery initiatives page if this is the approach your organisation follows.

To associate strategic goals with benefits:

Associate goals with benefits

  1. Ensure you are in the Strategy area and click Themes in the Strategy section.

  2. Find and select the Theme that has the Strategic Goal that you wish to add the benefit to.

  3. Find and select the appropriate Strategic Goal from the list.

  4. Click on the Benefits tab.

  5. Click Add Existing Benefit.

  6. Click in the Search box.

  7. Search for and select the appropriate item from the list.

  8. Click Save & Close.

Disassociate goals with benefits

  1. Ensure you are in the Strategy area, click Themes in the Strategy section.

  2. Find and select the Theme that has the Strategic Goal you wish to update.

  3. Find and select the appropriate Strategic Goal from the list.

  4. Select the area to the left of the benefit to select it.

  5. Click Remove from the sub-ribbon then select Save & Close.
