Welcome to the Resources area.

Resources provides the ability to facilitate both near term and long-term planning with clear visibility into resource demand, capacity, and availability across the organisation:

  • Resource Demand is created by submitting requests for resources.
  • Resource Capacity is created by associating each resource with a calendar customised to reflect your organisation’s working hours.

Note: Your organisation can have multiple calendars to accommodate as many working arrangements as you need such as full-time, part-time, or contract.  You can also set up calendar exceptions by resource to accommodate exceptions to standard working time.
  • Resource Availability is derived by comparing capacity to committed demand.

The platform utilises three types of resources – named, external, and generic to give you the most flexibility for planning and tracking.

  • External resources are created when tasks with these resources are synchronised from external task management tools.
  • Generic resources can be equipment or role based. Equipment based resources assist with scheduling constrained items to avoid project delays and can also aid in the tracking of hours these items are used for planning maintenance or replacement.
  • Named resources can also be requested as the Resource Manager maintains the right of approval on who is assigned to the project.

Resources also have the ability to capture timesheet data and through reporting, track time spent on project work vs non-project work and identify variances between what was requested and committed versus what was reported.

Tip: To utilise the timesheet feature, you first need to set up the timesheet periods. This setup allows for a variety of configurations based on your organisations time reporting needs
